Who publishes this, and why

HedgeYourOwn isn't an anonymous algorithm or a marketing team. I publish systematic model portfolios under my own name. Here's exactly who is behind them, why this exists, and how — including what it's funded by.

Who writes this

Antoni Zieliński — founder and sole author of HedgeYourOwn. I'm a solo software builder (Python/Flask/SQLAlchemy) with prior experience building algorithmic-trading infrastructure, based in Poland. I write and maintain every strategy, every model-portfolio update, and every article in the learn hub myself — not a committee, not an anonymous team.

I'm not an investment adviser — I publish systematic model portfolios. HedgeYourOwn is not supervised by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) and does not provide investment advice or portfolio management within the meaning of MiFID II. See the full disclosures →.

Why this exists

Most investing "advice" online is either paid broker advertising or discretionary opinion with no checkable track record. I wanted the opposite: rules published in advance, the same result for everyone, and performance computed honestly — costs included, drawdowns included, nothing flattered. That's why this is model portfolios instead of signals, and why every backtest is labelled simulated, never "live", until it genuinely is.

How the content is made

Each strategy is a public set of rules re-run monthly on new data — rules → data → backtest, in that order, no exceptions (no discretion "because the market looks different today"). The portfolio-filtered news digest explains what happened to your holdings — it's written by Claude (Anthropic), instructed to only explain, never to advise or change an allocation. Articles in the learn hub are written by the author personally, not by AI. The exact methodology, including its known limitations, is on a dedicated methodology page →.

What this is funded by

The only source of revenue is subscriber payments (the unlock + monthly fee described on the pricing page) — no broker commissions, no ads, no affiliate deals with issuers of any instrument that appears in a model portfolio. Full conflicts-of-interest and personal-trading-policy detail: the disclosures page →.

Correction policy

Code and data bugs happen; when one does, the correction and its effect on published numbers are stated openly, with a date — never silently. The full, dated history of every change to how results are calculated: methodology changelog →.

This is published market information, not investment advice and not a personal recommendation. Allocations are generated systematically and are the same for every subscriber. You decide and trade in your own account.
