Essential (always on)

sm_token / sm_uid (kept in your browser's localStorage, not a cookie): keep you signed in — without these you cannot stay logged in. sm_consent (a strictly necessary cookie, kept 12 months): remembers the choice you made in this cookie banner itself, so the banner isn't shown again on your next visit — without it we couldn't honour your choice, so it's exempt from consent like the rest of this section.

Functional

sm_theme (your chosen colour theme), sm_ref (a 30-day referral-attribution cookie set only when you arrive via a friend's referral link, so the referral program in the Terms can credit them).

Analytics (only with your consent)

sm_visitor plus first-party usage events (which pages were viewed, the referring site's domain, utm campaign tags, a coarse device class) and conversion events: a privacy-friendly measure of how the product is used and which pricing framing converts. Everything stays on our own server. Off by default until you choose ‘Accept all’ in the cookie banner; no third-party ad profiling.

Third-party requests

TradingView: price-chart widgets (for example, clicking a holding to see its chart, or a strategy/portfolio chart) load a script directly from TradingView's own service (s3.tradingview.com) — but only once you have accepted cookies ('Accept all' above) or clicked that chart's own 'Show TradingView chart' button; until then, the chart panel shows that prompt instead of loading anything, and your click is remembered in your browser so you are not asked again. This is currently the only third-party request the site makes. The homepage's live ticker is NOT a TradingView widget — it is built entirely from our own cached price data, so it loads before any cookie choice and never contacts TradingView. Source initials shown next to news headlines are a plain badge rendered entirely in your browser from the article's domain name — no image is fetched from anywhere, first-party or third-party. Fonts are self-hosted. There is no third-party advertising and no cross-site tracking. You can change your cookie choice at any time from the cookie settings.
